Course Requirements

This course is meant to be a hands-on launch into further work. As such, it's requirements will be these

Participation	On time completion of practice activities of the course, attendance	Simple tally	40%
Conceptual knowledge	learning about data, mapping, and such conceptually	Oral exam(s) and final exam	20%
Opportunity Awareness	learning in-depth about some existing endeavor under the umbrella "open access mapping"	Presentation and paper on some contemporary mapping project	20%
Technical expertise	computers and software tools	Practical exam(s), observation in lab, and a final project	20%
