Address coding with QGIS (see also http://michaelminn.com/linux/mmqgis/)

MMGIS > Geocode > Geocode CSV with Google and OSM

NOTE: the csv file has to be in a particular format for MMGIS to work. The "encoding" has to be UTF-8. And (don't worry if this doesn't make sense) the lines have to be terminated in Windows style with CRLF or LF not Apple style (with CR).

In Excel for Mac, save as
