For the social types file. I have a colleague who specializes in being earnest. Or, in putting on an earnest face. He's routinely checked out when it comes to doing the nitty gritty, won't read through documents, is completely kneejerk in his reaction to things, but in front of colleagues he adopts this "I'm the only one who is really earnest" attitude.
