All Animals Are Equal But Some Are More Equal Than Others

How hard is everyone working at various colleges and universities? Not much data on that, alas (but some good efforts are being made), but each institution does make an official estimate of some of its employees' working hours when it submits its form 990 to the IRS each year. Apparently, at some institutions presidents and other administrators work a lot harder than faculty, at some just a little, and at some everyone pulls at about the same rate. Faculty should beware, though, of the trend at Wellesley shown in the final two images: the president has cut back her work hours by about 14% and this resulted in an increase in faculty workload of about 70%!
